Peter Loosmore is a contemporary painter working in acrylic, ink, and digital media. Born in Hannover, Germany, he began his artistic journey in the 1980s as a self-taught artist, later formalizing his practice through study at the Brisbane Institute of Art.

Having lived in Germany, the UK, Canada, Malaysia, and now Australia, Peter brings a unique, international perspective to his work. His current focus is on contemporary landscapes—layered, expressive, and often abstracted scenes that invite viewers to return again and again, discovering new details and emotions with each look.

His aim is simple: to create art that people enjoy—works that feel alive, rewarding repeated exploration and reflection.
